WILL MACINTYRE
A British Rising Star in Motorsport who has sadly had his promising career stalled due to a Primary Central Nervous System Vasculitis diagnosis.
William Macintyre is a British racing driver. He competed in the GB3 Championship in 2025 - winning two races and a regular podium visitor for Elite Motorsport.
In 2024, he raced for Hitech Pulse-Eight a title contender up to the last race. Remarkable for his first year in single seaters.
Will was runner-up in the hugely competitive Wera Tools British F4 Championship in 2023 - following an equally impressive campaign in the 2022 Ginetta Junior Championship, where he finished runner-up in his maiden season in car racing.
Will's Story
In September 2025, following numerous months of not feeling himself - Will was initially diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour and lung cancer. Months later a brain biopsy procedure at the Neuro centre John Radcliffe gave a glimmer of hope.
A referral to Addenbrookes followed with weeks in hospital, many tests scans and investigations.
Will is being treated for Primary Central Nervous system Vasculitits. His condition is so rare 0.0125% of the population of the world have it. Although incurable, Addenbrookes are determined to get Will back on track.
The 18-year old British Racing Star who went from winning races in 2025 is now battling the race of his life. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Addenbrookes.
