As I used to say back in the day, Wow what a week.
Tuesday I was dragged out of my bed at 4pm by Crofty. We ended up at Redbull HQ and had a nice chat with a Dutch man and French Boss guy, I did wonder why they were all in such a fun mood. It was so good to talk race tracks, corners and chat about when we have raced each other on the Sim.
Wednesday was another full on afternoon with a chat with one of my old karting mates. You might see that he's helped out my fundraiser quite a bit. Good Boy!
I also met a kiwi and and saw a chap called Yuki. I think that's a full garage.
Awesome of Arvid to post about his helmet going up for auction. Within 45 minutes it had sold to a F1 fan in the US. Its incredible that he has a connection with the medical world and wants to help us as much as he can with the fundraiser.
Its correct that the family have paid £60000 for the helmet and we are so grateful to them for their support.
Only a few days to go to the kart race. It's going to be absolute full send, pods are there to be used.
On the subject of karting, back in the day I was factory driver for Birel Art, it was so nice to see Ludo, Vittoria Sala and Jordan Lennox Lamb for a chat. Thankfully they stopped by my house and I only had to come downstairs. It's been a exciting fun but shattering week I'm knackered, still have one more thing to get done which is an MRI at Cambridge tonight.
