Macintyre Earns Elite Motorsport GB3 Victory in Opening Event of the Year

Will Macintyre was victorious for Elite Motorsport in the opening GB3 Championship event at Silverstone. 

Macintyre started Race 1 from the sixth row of the 23-car grid and ran inside the top-10 early on in a “train” dicing for sixth, classified eighth after 12-laps.
 
Race 2 saw Macintyre line-up in 10th but a technical issue caused the engine to stall, eventually starting from the pits a lap down and coming home 23rd but having set the sixth fastest race lap.
 
The partial reverse grid for the final race had Macintyre starting second on the grid.
Will snatched the lead at the start prior to a Safety Car on lap one.

Racing resumed with 13mins remaining with Macintyre extending his lead, taking the chequered flag first, three-seconds ahead of his closest rival and having set the race’s fastest lap.
